The Royal Oak in Staveley, Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, is a beautiful pub with Real Ales, a great wine list, fantastic food and a wealth of character.

About Us
Daniel & Cheryl have been the proud publicans of The Royal Oak since November 2009, with Daniel heading up the kitchen and Cheryl running front of house. Together they make a fantastic team and along with the support of the local community, The Royal Oak is now a very popular country inn and eating establishment with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and friendly, approachable staff.

Utilizing many small local suppliers, we change our menu regularly to reflect the best seasonal produce available to us, Yorkshire has a wealth of fantastic producers, growers and manufacturers and we like to showcase them in the food and drink offerings we put before you. All the food we serve is made in house using fresh ingredients, some of which we even grow on our allotment area which we share with the village!
We are proud to be a free house, with Black Sheep Best Bitter & Timothy Taylors being firm favourites, we also regularly promote local breweries by stocking 2 other guest ales always brewed within a 30 mile radius of the royal oak.

To the rear of the pub we have a caravan park/campsite...
Enclosed in a walled garden along with our community allotments, our caravan park has been described by many as a hidden little gem. Having 8 electric hook ups, water supply, elson point and children's play park our caravan park is a perfect retreat for those looking for a relaxing weekend away, as a base for exploring the local areas or as we are situated just 3 miles from the A1, it makes the perfect stop over for those long journeys south or north!
